This photo gives a good atmosphere and with the added effect of looking more natural than forced which we see in the poses people make often on front pages, this looks natural and in a sense welcoming to the eye. The mise-en-scene could seem hostile from different points of view, may even seem forced from another, but from mine it seems to be studious and resembling the ensemble of that school tries to maintain.
I think however there is a high chance that I will use this photo as I feel that it shows the spirit of the school more, and the friendships that are formed, which is also a big part of school and something that everyone can find a common interest in.
As you can see it shows the school in moderation and a person could interpret the backs as striving towards something, perhaps to their goal, perhaps to their means to an end and maybe to success. The pen can be connoted as work, writing and doing it to the best of your ability.
And the empty corridor can be further analyzed as a pathway to further things, to a brighter future. Or to some people it could merely represent a place of learning, or a place of which to strip you of your unique footprint and replacing it with a single file line of identical people. People view school as different things; but it's my job to present it in an open-interpretation, allowing the audience/reader to each have their own interpretations because this isn't a magazine I just want to sell, it's a magazine I want each reader to benefit and gain from it in their own ways.
I have drawn a quick plan of what i imagine my front cover to look like, obviously taking in consideration that much of it will or may be modified to suit different situations.
